IMPORTANT NOTICE TO UC SAN DIEGO FOUNDATION FUND ADMINISTRATORS

RE: Fund Statement Access

The UC San Diego Foundation has purchased a new fund accounting software. We are currently working towards converting the current fiscal year’s accounting activity from our existing system to the new software. We plan to have the new system operational sometime this summer.

We are excited about this new software as it will provide many efficiencies in our internal operations. Although the format of the reports may look slightly different from the current statements, the same information will still be made available on a monthly basis on our Foundation Accounting web site. Fund administrators should not experience any disruption to gaining access to fund statements via our web site or perform regular fund administration tasks. We will make every attempt to minimize any inconvenience to you.

However, due to the combining of several existing separate home-grown systems into one fully functional, but off-the-shelf system, and due to need to streamline our operations for efficiency, we will now only be able to accommodate two fund administrators (login and password) to each fund. We will maintain the Principal Investigator and the business officer as the authorized login personnel for each fund. Shortly, fund administrators will receive a notification informing them of their new login and password to the Accounting web site. We will leave it at the department’s discretion to make the login and password available to any others within the department that may wish to access the information. Again, this transition should occur sometime this summer.
