Customer Service Satisfaction Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who took the time completing our survey. Unfortunately, we only had a total of 12% of those surveyed respond. Those of you that did not have a chance to give your input through our on-line survey are welcome to contact me directly (itracy@ucsd.edu or by phone ext. 41038).

Of those responses, over 63% were satisfied with the overall customer service provided by the Foundation Accounting staff. Most of the dissatisfaction had to do with the restricted access and ease of use of our electronic fund statement. Based on some of the feedback we received, we have made several enhancements which we hope will increase the effectiveness of our website.

Operational Enhancements and Training Opportunities

  • Number of on-line users/access to electronic fund statements was expanded.
    Effective January 1, 2003, the number of authorized on-line access personnel per fund has been expanded from two to seven. Our objective is to give our fund holders the additional flexibility of different levels of personnel being able to gain access to the fund statements.
  • Log in once to review multiple months’ activity.
    Effective December 1, 2002, only log in once and you are able to switch between different months’ activity without having to log in again.
  • We offer training classes through UCSD’s Staff Education on managing gift funds held at the UC San Diego Foundation which includes an overview of the Foundation’s general ledger statements. There is also a separate class on gift processing guidelines and procedures. Please refer to the UCSD Staff Education and Development Catalog for course dates and times.
