We are pleased to report that donors and friends of the university understand the mission of UC San Diego and continue to play a vital role in expanding the local impact, national influence, and global reach of this great institution. In fiscal year 2007–08, the university received private support totaling $121.8 million to help us forge common connections, research new possibilities, support change initiatives, and provide public benefit.

Annual Report
The last seven years have been nothing short of remarkable for UC
San Diego. The Campaign for UCSD: Imagine What’s Next exceeded
our expectations and topped our historic $1 billion fundraising goal
two months ahead of schedule. More than 100,000 generous donors
helped bolster discovery and medical advances, fund campuswide
initiatives, and enhance the university’s ability to educate exemplary
students and attract renowned faculty. more

Annual Report
The Campaign for UCSD: Imagine What's Next was launched in
2000. Our seven-year, $1 billion fundraising effort to provide
scholarships, fund research endeavors, and expand academic
programs is fast becoming a reality. Our supporters are funding
the future of this university, with a record $160.7 million in private
support raised during FY 2005-06 alone-making it the most
successful year in the history of UC San Diego. more
